The most popular benefit of SOD is the “immediate lawn”. There is no waiting around for your seed to grow. You will usually be able to use your lawn for normal activities within 2 weeks of installation.

Soil erosion control & dust control

SOD is fully matured before it is installed. This means that there will be less dust and mud. It will act as a natural “filter” to help keep dust and mud out of your house. With newly laid topsoil and grass seed there tends to be a “dusty/muddy” stage. SOD will avoid that stage for you. It will also help prevent erosion.

SOD creates a denser lawn

When SOD is installed, pieces are tightly fit together. This ensures no bare spots that you have to go back and put more grass seed on, once again giving you the instant lawn effect. SOD provides a beautiful, evenly laid, luscious lawn that you are guaranteed to be happy with.

Less maintenance and watering

Once SOD is installed, it usually requires less watering. For the first few weeks it should be watered 2 times a day. You should avoid activities for the first 2 weeks to ensure deep root attachment. This will ensure a long-lasting, beautiful lawn.
